Onions and body odorThere goes the proverb ‘Eat, drink and be merry’. It is not at all absurd. To live we must eat. But anything cannot be taken at ease. Again we take food after our choice, after our habit. As food gives us proper vitality, the perfect potency to combat disease we take food in a serious way. We know pretty well that if we take any food that never suits our system we must fall ill and be confined to bed.
Hence to take proper food we make it tasty and palatable with some specific ingredients that allure us all the way. Onion is such an item which seems quite indispensible to us when we take any food. Again to make any item delicious we use slices of onion or the paste of onion. The addition of onion makes the dishes dainty but the after effect is not so pleasant. After ingestion of onion the body emits such a foul smell that we cannot dare to talk to anyone at close proximity. In some way people avoid our association with some pretext or other. Onions, we know, are rich in nutrients such as vitamin-B and C, calcium and iron. Besides, onion contains some ingredients which contain sulfur. Hence when the sulfur comes in close contact with our sweat it produces an acid which is called sulfuric acid. The result that ensues later on is body odor which seems catastrophic to one whom stands nearby or willing to open his/her heart.
